PEARL JAM AND ALICE IN CHAINS NOMINATED FOR GRAMMYS
Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains have both been nominated for Grammy Awards!
Alice In Chains’ “Check My Brain” has been nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance. AIC’s competition is Nickelback, Linkin Park, Metallica, and AC/DC. AIC were nominated for the Best Hard Rock performance previously in 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 2000. Layne Staley mentioned in 1996 that he was disappointed AIC kept failing to win a Grammy, he said he wanted to be able to go onstage and thank everybody who helped him and the band get where they were. Layne’s final public appearance was at the 1997 Grammy Awards. It would be a great moment to see AIC finally win a Grammy and dedicate the award to Layne’s memory.
Pearl Jam’s “The Fixer” has been nominated for Best Rock Song, their competition is U2, Green Day, Kings of Leon, and Bruce Springsteen. Pearl Jam won a Grammy in 1996 for “Spin The Black Circle” and were nominated for multiple Grammys in 1993, 1995, 1996, 1999, and 2001.
The Grammy’s are a fucking joke this year. Only shitty rap and hip hop bands nominated. Beyonce taking the lead. What a sham… It makes me fucking sick.

the grammys have been one of the biggest jokes in music for the past couple of years probably starting back when metallica lost to jethro tull, it doesnt give rock music what it deserves, i dont even think that they show the rock categorys except for like 2 of them. ill be glad as hell if AiC wins because its well deserved and very vey long overdue. if not then the grammys suck even more, just my opinion on it, and congrats to PJ as well
if the cordinators of the grammy awards want to gain some credibility, they sould start by making the right decisions and give this prices to PJ and AiC, if they want to continue to be shit, pic green day and nickelback.
