DID YOU GET ANY GRUNGE GIFTS FOR CHRISTMAS?

Christmas just happened a couple of days ago and I was wondering if any of you GrungeReport.net readers received any Grunge related gifts?  If so please leave a comment.  Or did you use some Christmas money to buy yourself some Grunge stuff?  I got quite a few Grunge related gifts.  I got the deluxe edition of Mudhoney’s Superfuzz Bigmuff, Mudhoney’s self-titled full length debut album, and 1991’s Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge.  I also got Green River’s album/EP and a Green River shirt which says “Ride the fucking six pack” on the back.  I’ll be sure to walk into a Chuck E. Cheese with that one.  I also got a copy of Pearl Jam’s Binaural, the one Pearl Jam album I didn’t own a physical copy of.  I got a signed copy of Chris Cornell’s Scream from newburycomics.com too.  I don’t plan on popping in the album, I mainly got it for the Cornell autograph.  I’d have preferred a signed copy of Superunknown or Down on the Upside though.

I got shit for this Christmas. Another way to realize that if I want something I’ll have to buy it myself. I’m planning on ordering the GRUNGE book, Nirvana’s IN UTERO, BGWTB and BACKSPACER as soon as I get a little money.

I liked Grunge is Dead a lot.. It had a lot of good insight to the scene and different points of view from the people that lived in Seattle through that time.

Recently, I got the 20th Anniversary edition of Nirvana’s Bleach album, and I just finished reading “Grunge is Dead” book by Greg Prato. The book is AMAZING. I’ll be interviewing the author for Your Music Magazine, which I write for. I did an Alice in Chains album review for “Black Gives Way to Blue” for the magazine as well. Be sure to check out next month’s issue for the interview with Greg Prato! http://www.yourmusicmagazine.com
