CHARTING UPDATE ON ALICE IN CHAINS “LESSON LEARNED” & STONE TEMPLE PILOTS “TAKE A LOAD OFF”

16 July 2010 11 Comments

Alice In Chains’ current single “Lesson Learned” jumped to #12 on the Mainstream Rock plays list.  It also jumped to #21 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart.

Stone Temple Pilots’ current single “Take A Load Off” jumped to #29 on the Mainstream Rock plays list.  It also jumped to #26 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart.

Pearl Jam’s “Amongst The Waves” is also at #18 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, not sure if they’ve charted on Mainstream yet though.  Also I didn’t put Pearl Jam in the title because I ran out of room and I don’t have a graphic with Cantrell, Weiland, and Vedder made yet.

If all goes according to plan, LL should be in the top 5 by the end of the month!!!

fuck lesson learned is such a bad aic song, take a load of is actually a good stp song that reminds me of tiny music. Stp is actually continuing their work, lessoned learned just seems like an attempt at a poppy hard rock song to get them some quick cash. LAST OF MY KIND, now thats a hell of an AIC song.

all secrets known, black gives way to blue, private hell, acid bubble, last of my kind, the bad thing is that this last 3 songs are not radio friendly…

Wow, that’s great. I actually like “Lesson Learned”, even though it doesn’t sound much like older Alice in Chains it definitely reminds me of the Facelift days, just with its atmosphere. Just look at all the grunge stuff that’s coming back and getting popular again… All we need is some new, truly grunge bands to get on the radio.

I agree with Sodajerk. “Lesson Learned” has always been one of my favorite songs on the album and does remind of the Facelift days. It’s already doing well on the radio and will continue to climb. If they decide to release another single from the album I hope it will be “Last Of My Kind” or “Private Hell” as well. I don’t see “Amongst The Waves” doing as well as previous singles even though it’s an awesome song. They need to release “Force Of Nature” next. As for “Take A Load Off”, it’s my favorite song on the album and very STP. I hope it continues to climb.

Take a Load off and Lesson Learned are both amazing songs. I hope they both do well.

I fucking love grunge. I used to bitch about how I was born 10 years too late as I’m in my 20’s now and wish I would’ve been in ‘92 just for the music alone. However, since modern rock sucks so much and has no substance, the grunge bands with true talent and the ability to write their own songs and play their own instruments are making the come back. I have literally seen them all (Soundgarden in 3 weeks at Lolla), some multiple times, with the exception of Nirvana which unfortunately will NEVER happent. It’s not even close to being possible. Kurt Cobain was Nirvana. Long live grunge!! Long live REAL rock music!
