FILTER BACK TO WORK ON NEW ALBUM
Filter frontman Richard Patrick tweeted that he is back to work on the new Filter album, “I’m finally done with this leg of the never ending filter tour.. Guess what!?! Now back to the studio!” The new album is tentatively titled Gurney and the Burning Books, the followup to 2010′s The Trouble With Angels.

Terrific! This band is spectacular. The last album had a lot of hit or miss songs so I’m curious what this one will be like
Paul Ryan listens to Filter, he said he was “just listening” to it in a recent interview.
Patric is a jelous son-of-a-bitch of Trent Reznor, I remember him talking shit about him when he was on Fam Val tour with Limp Bizkit.
I think his band differs from NIN, but yeah I’m sure he envies Trent a tad

‘Title of Record’ is one of the most underrated rock albums ever. Filter is awesome.

Glad to see another one of my favourite bands being covered on the site. I’m looking forward to the new CD, I agree the last one was kinda hit and miss but the songs that did hit, hit hard! I’m hoping for something more in the vein of ‘Title of Record’ and ‘The Amalgamut’ though, they’re my 2 favourite Filter albums, I think they had the right mix of different sounds and songs like ‘Cancer’, ‘Skinny’ and ‘The Missing’ never get old.

I’m a fan of both NIN and Filter, different bands that create great music.
Richard and Trent have had their differences, but we should remember that they both had problems with drugs and alcohol, but right now they are clean and sober, they have matured, they are family men with common friends, their grudges are part of the past, or I would like to believe that tbh.
A filter album produced by Trent could be amazing, but Reznor is probably too busy right now, maybe Patrick should ask Danny Lohner to produce Filter’s new album.
Short Bus and Title of Record were cool albums. Couldn’t really get into anything after that, other than a couple songs on Amalgamut.
i really hope this album is good. i love everything filter has put out so far
all of his albums have had a few great songs
