Thank you for not playing Phoenix. No joke here folks. Honestly, thank you for not playing here. Your presence is not needed.

How are these shows selling? I know there are still tix available for the theater show in Milwaukee.

  • capt. poon said:

Jason, that is what I was just thinking. Those are some pretty big joints. Arenas are hard to fill for a lot of bands anymore, especially without a super well known support act.

It’s hard for any non top 40 act to sell out big venues today. I’m sure Billy will critisize the people in the audience for not cloning themselves to fill up the venue. :-P

Or like the old Paul Westerberg quote..”if you drink enough, you start seeing double, then the place looks full!”

    Ouch.

Out of curiousity I did a search for tickets to the show closes to me (Vancouver). There are still GA floor tickets. If you want to sit in the seats you can get the first section in front of the stage, row 23.

That’s pretty bad? Especially because I saw the Pumpkins play to the same arena in ’97 and it was completely sold out.

I think they might be alright if they had a bigger well known support in addition to themselves. Kind of like how soundgarden recently had QOTSA or Alice in chains had mastadon

Seriously…they have arenas booked for this tour? Is Pearl Jam secretly opening for them also? When these shows get reviewed, PLEASE comment on the attendance. I don’t think SP with all the original members could put 10,000 people in the seats.

  • Spoonman said:

@Millz, i wish they wouldnt have booked anything in LA…

  • matt said:

@Mike: Exactly. SP with the full original line-up with a nobody opening act wouldn’t be able to fill arenas anymore… Especially without a popular album out… I know Oceania got good reviews but its hardly popular or anything.

I have no idea what Billys thinking on this one. I think hes gonna be pretty choked when hes playing to arenas only a 1/4 full.

Palace of auburn hills? Hahaha holy shit bill, that’s some wishfull thinking. Bet he fills half that place

These guys should be playing smaller venues. But what do I care?? I’m really not a fan. I could care less. I mean Green Day is playing a tour of small venues and selling that shit out. Billy is playing the biggest venues he can find. Look for SP tickets on Groupon a week or two before these shows folks. Save your cash, buy more beer. You’re gonna need it.

  • Millz said:

I just found 8 GA floor tickets in Everett Wa, and 8 GA floor in San Francisco too. I bet every venue is just like that.

  • Billy Corgans Dog Zero said:

It’s the music that counts not attendance. I would say bill has the best natural voice out of the bands covered here. No fake screaming, mumbling words or using a lame megaphone scam lip synching B$.

  • Wam Meesly said:

Much agreed with what has been said as far as selling enough tickets to fill these larger venues, some as big as 20,000 capacity to my recollection.

I got floor seats for LA, and they are still available. The present setlists, which are not fluctuating in the least, are upsetting, I wish they would swap out songs; new OR old.

Smashing Pumpkins have more talent in one of their pubes on their balls than any of you.

everyone here is so fn pathetic. you claim to not care about sp but youre all on here commenting. you fn worthless losers. and at least they have a career. you loser f–k rags need to worry about making sure people get fries with their meal.

I went to the show in CT last night. The arena was quite full, and the show was fantastic. Y’all should quit your bellyaching and do something more important with your time.
