I was hoping they would break out their new song they haven’t released or their LoveCrimes cover, but My Enemy is still good to see live. The whole Black Love album is amazing, great songs live.

sad, sad, sad. I grew up loving this band. It’s so disappointing that they’ve become a nostalgia act

Shayla – they only got back together a little while ago and you’re expecting new material?!
Has anything Greg Dulli has done in the past few years even hinted at nostalgia? No, he’s pressed forward with new music, and I’m sure he will with the Whigs when the time is right.
Anyway -awesome performance, they were incredible when I saw them a few weeks, they wipe the floor with most modern rock bands around these days.

If you’re touring and playing exclusively old songs, and playing an old song on national TV, you’re a nostalgia act. If the shoe fits…

Bullshit, so Soundgarden have been back together and touring their old material for a couple of years now, AND they have a new record coming out, which they will tour in support of, so are they a nostalgia act too? Were they up until they announced they were bringing out a new record? A nostalgia act is one that PURELY tours old material….endlessly. I think the Afghan Wigs have done well to even bang out the two brilliant studio covers they’ve done since reforming – a sign that they are keen to record together again.
The Whigs have barely been back together a few months, Greg said they were just reacquainting themselves as a band and deciding where they want to go with it. Of all the bands to throw the accusation at, this really isn’t one of them.
Great tune!
