By: 26 September 2012 5 Comments

Filter have been in the studio recently working on their new album. Richard Patrick announced last week that the band had signed with Wind-Up Records, with hopes of releasing a single in November and new album in early 2013. Wind-Up Records is also the home of Finger Eleven, Seether…….Creed……..and Scott Stapp. Patrick posted this yesterday on Filter’s official Facebook:

OMG I’m in the studio putting the finishing touches on our new single “hey hey, what do you say” and it’s gooooooood. Bob Marlette, Jonny Radtke and I are taking Filter to a huge new Level. Wind-up records signed us because this songs is so powerful.. It’s good to be in this mode of confidents and strength. I love heavy filter! ~Richard Patrick

Shitty company, but at least Filter will get to release new music.

The last record was ridiculously good. Looking forward to another heavy one.

Filter always releases solid albums, but I’m yet to be as blown away as I was by Title of Record. TOR is a masterpiece. I’m hoping this new record will be the one to do it.

Their last album, The Trouble With Angels, was excellent. I’m sure this one will be as well.
