TOOL HAVE REPORTEDLY TURNED DOWN TOUR OFFERS TO FOCUS ON NEW ALBUM

By: 1 November 2012 8 Comments

FourthEye.net reports that the fan run October 2012 Tool Newsletter said that Tool were offered a range of tours this year (including Australia) but have knocked them all back in order to concentrate on the next album.

Tool have not released a new album in over six years. A Perfect Circle have some limited tour dates lined up over the next several months.

Didn’t we know this already? I mean, didn’t MK say he was putting an LP out next year (i.e. the APC and Pucifer dates would come to a close for now)?

Looking forward to anything M does.

It will be out in 2013 not 2014. Yes it’s been a long time, but it always is between TOOL records. And that’s fine. It comes with being a fan of this band. And is always well worth it in the end. Look at the multiple levels of work, care and attention that go into each album. Many fans lost their way with “10,000 Days” but I never understood that at all. It was a great album. It contains some of most essential songs they’ve ever written. For me the only possible fault that could be found (which really is not much of one) is the record didn’t ‘flow’ quite like the prior ones. Again, not the most important aspect here.

I have high hopes for the next one.

Much more to this band than MJK. How about the best drummer of our lifetime? Justin is amazing on the bass, and this band leans on him big time. Adam is as creative as they come, and though Tool is not necessarily a guitar driven band like others, he’s still a great musician. Hopefully there will be some great solos like he laid down on “Jambi.”
