I paid like 20 bucks for it on their website, the price of 2 of them at Best Buy!

    Who got 1-5?

  • Dennis said:

My best buy only had the deluxe version, so I had to drop $15 on demos I didn’t really want. Oh well.

At least the new Deftones was $10 that day. Man that album is good.

Sales increased when they sold the album for $3.99 on Amazon.

I heard the Deftones album was just okay. I guess I’ll have to listen to it for myself….After I’m done listening to King Animal for the next few months!!

  • Max said:

So where did it chart them?

  • Max said:

    Nevermind, I’m an idiot.

    @ SIN
The new Deftones record is fantastic

Thanks for the Deftones recommendation. I’ve already pushed King Animal to the side after about 10 listens. Maybe I’ll give it another shot in a month or two.

I bought one… from Walmart. Ugh. I never buy anything from walmart… but CD stores are pretty dead where I am.

Very solid numbers, congrats SG outselling Aguilera, Green Day, Deftones. What sold more has me troubled though (One Direction 500K are you F’N kidding me?????)

  • GA said:

This result is phenomenal. Better than C. Aguilera, who’s in front of millions and millions of viewers on TV every week? Better than Green Day? It will fall fast, but this is a big success considering the situation the music industry is in.

I picked up the BB deluxe edition. Would have definitely rather paid $10 for the regular version. Demos are neat to hear, but the only one of those demos that sound good is Black Saturday. The others sound too rough like scratch tracks for recording. I definitely like the final versions of those songs better.

All in all, I like King Animal with only a couple songs that don’t really catch me as Soundgarden. (Halfway There and Eyelids Mouth)

But who knows, those two might grow on me eventually.

Oh, and the new Deftones is pretty good. And I’m an old school Deftones fan from Adrenaline & Around The Fur days. White Pony was good but a turning point in their sound that I lost interest in by their self titled album. Diamond Eyes caught my attention a little, but I think Koi No Yokan is better. Chino’s vocals actually sound decent again, and the music is way more sludgy and melodic.

yeah deftones new one is their best ever in my opinion! nice to see soundgarden getting the love as well.

The new Deftones album is the best since White Pony. I’ve enjoyed every album after that but it is their best work altogether since that album. It’s actually the first Deftones album I can listen to without skipping a song since Around the Fur (I tend to skip “Teenager” on White Pony). As for Soundgarden’s album, it’s a good comeback. The first six songs are awesome. Some of the songs on the second half I have to get used to, mainly “Attrition” and “Rowing”. But the the others are pretty good. I expect the future singles to be “A Thousand Years Before”, “Bones of Birds”, “Non State Actor”, and possibly “By Crooked Steps”.

@KB14 One Direction is selling that much because you have a lot of little kids and teeny boppers asking their parents to by the album for them lol!

I bought the Best Buy deluxe and I think that the demo for “A 1000 Days Before” is one of the best tracks on a great album. Can’t wait to see SG play some of these next year!

I love the Best Buy demos! It’s a different approach to the song, I like it!

I bought two plus de $120 box set to be released in January 2013.
