CHRIS CORNELL SAYS HE GOT A GED AND LEFT SCHOOL AFTER 7TH GRADE

By: 21 November 2012 8 Comments

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell discussed his education in a new interview with NPR.

“I got a GED based on Catholic school seventh-grade education, really. I didn’t make it that far. I have all those regrets now. … I just kind of went into the blue-collar workforce at a really young age and discovered music, in terms of being a musician, around the same time. The good news is, I was probably 17 when I knew that’s what I was going to do with the rest of my life, no matter what that meant. Even if that meant that I had to be a dishwasher or a janitor to support being in a band that I love and writing music that I love, I would be happy with that. So I feel fortunate. In spite of my lack of education, I didn’t lack direction.”

Calvin McClain guess your boy Romney showed how smart he was. Got fucked up big time at the polls. Detroit loves the dummy LMAO.

And if your so smart what’s your big accomplishment?

Chris shows that he doesn’t need any fucked up school, he was born with music in his soul.

That’s great. Everyone knows how much school you finish doesn’t have much to do with how smart you are. I knew by 13 that “I knew that’s what I was going to do with the rest of my life, no matter what that meant. Even if that meant that I had to be a dishwasher or a janitor to support being in a band that I love and writing music that I love, I would be happy with that.” though I did graduate highschool, with really high grades, but sometimes I wish the opportunity to have dropped out and joined a band would have come my way. An education is useless if you’re going to end up in some career job you don’t really want just because you were taught to follow the pack. I’d rather have what he has, any day.
