JOSH HOMME SAYS THAT QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE HAVE STRUGGLED WHILE RECORDING NEW ALBUM
Josh Homme recently spoke to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 about Queens of the Stone Age’s high anticipated sixth album, set for release in 2013. The album features Dave Grohl on drums, and guest appearances by Trent Reznor and Nick Oliveri. Homme had the following to say about recording the new album:
“There’s been a lot of struggles going on but I’ll spare you those gory details. So I think this record is a little more lyrically vulnerable but I also think that it’s musically sort of deeper and richer, it’s a little bit stranger. This record basically sounds like you’re running in a dream the whole time.”
Queens of the Stone Age’s last album was 2007′s Era Vulgaris, and Homme’s most recent album was Them Crooked Vultures’ self-titled debut in 2009.

Great to hear that Nick Oliveri is back on the new album (dont fuck up Nick, it could be yours again)!
I feel like the struggles are gonna make this record awesome
I’LL HELP I’LL HELP
I love you Josh!
* can’t wait for the new LP and hopefully a tour, please oh please play the Warfield again! Last time was A W E S O M E.
This record basically sounds like you’re running in a dream the whole time —– coolest fuckin description ever, Josh >:D
Can wait for the new Queens album. I think the new AIC album should have stayed the main headline tho. U replaced it with this?!?! The new AIC news got over 50 comments in a half a day. People need to know about new AIC!!!!!!!!!
This album will be better than the new AIC. The BIG goof can squeeze that axe as good as anyone.
I wasn’t trying to say that one album may be better then the other. Just that as far as the articles the news of the AIC album and what feels like the 1st big news about it should have stayed as a headline over this.
@Grungy,are you mad, queens of the stone age are good and all but they got nothing on AIC
No Layne, no dice
AIC>QOTSA
By far!
