TRENT REZNOR TO RECORD TWO NEW NINE INCH NAILS SONGS FOR GREATEST HITS ALBUM
According to The New Yorker Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor is planning to contribute two new songs for a Nine Inch Nails greatest hits set that is due to be released in 2014.
Reznor also gave details on his plans to write new music for a new NIN album after the Greatest Hits set and on his new streaming music project with Dr. Dre.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!
2014???
wait, what? didn’t NIN already release a double disc “Greatest Hits”?
Reznor probably still owes his record company a greatest hits album.
He probably thinks greatest hits albums are stupid and worthless so he decided to add a couple new songs to at least make it sort of worth the purchase.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$ell. 0ut
Like Brad said, Reznor owes his old label a “Greatest Hits” album, and no, NIN has never released a “GH” album.
Also, Grungy, if I remember well, every well known grunge band has released one or several “greatest hits/best of” albums, so I guess that bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or AIC are all sell outs too.
Soundgarden have released a couple of those (A-Sides, Telephantasm), the same goes for AIC (with 3 compilation albums: Best of The Box, Greates Hits, and Essential AIC) and PJ is about to release their second “best of” album pretty soon too, and sooner or later we will have several more Nirvana “greatest hits/best of” albums (and I’m not counting the “MTV Unplugged” albums, which could be considered a much bigger “sell out” move).
Reznor has always been against the idea of releasing a “greatest hits” album, but he has to do it because of the contract he signed in the early 90s with Interscope.
SahwheeeeeeeeeeT
A rarely non accurate “Versus” comment!
I had sworn I saw a “Greatest Hits” at an online record store once. I googled it, and there is one out there. I’m guessing it may be unofficial, however. I added a link of one site that sells it if anyone has any info on it.
Now I can explain to my kids what it means to jam nine inch nails into my eye lids.
i bet it will look something like this:

There is no such thing as a sell out anymore. The music industry has changed.
