STUDIO CLIP OF NEW NIRVANA & PAUL MCCARTNEY SONG “CUT ME SOME SLACK”

By: 13 December 2012 7 Comments

From CutMeSomeSlack.net, this is a clip of the studio version of “Cut Me Some Slack” recorded by Paul McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana (Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear). It will be on the Sound City documentary soundtrack. During Nirvana and McCartney’s performance of the song last night they had ‘#NirvanaReunion’ on the big screen, which means this is the first time Grohl, Novoselic, and Smear have performed under the Nirvana name since 1994.

I’m glad we didn’t all have to endure Kanye and Joel for nothing.

McCartney and the entire jam thing was beyond stellar.

I need video and audio, NOW. :D

stoooopid Billy Joel (McCartney should have come out with Townhend and each tapped him on the shoulder to get the hell off the stage).

If we preordered the Sound City movie or the iTunes 12-12-12 audio will we get the song we just saw/heard live????
    I’m running out of money.

Billy Joel’s set was great! He sounds so young. U must just not like billy to say that wasn’t a good performance.

And what a great song by the nirvana boys and Paul. Better then I expected.

Brett, this is why music is the pop trash it is today. This is what ruined grunge. Your too “lazy”? You give grunge a bad name running the site like this, and tarnish the definition of what “grunge” means/meant. I know you’ve grown up in this shitty reality based tv, TMZ sensationalistic headline reporting, OC fake ass people land. But dont you care about the impression on all the kids that come to this site “learning” about grunge for the first time and don’t know the difference between your complete bullshit and what this music is really about… You would think you would have gotten a healthy ear full of this from your dad – LAME DUDE.

This wasn’t a “Nirvana Reunion”, the only people who have billed it as that is the fucking media, and douche Sir Paul who didn’t even know who Nirvana was.

Get a clue. This was the surviving members of Nirvana playing with Paul to play a brand new song from the SOUND CITY MOVIE SOUNDTRACK – NOT NIRVANA!!! This is NOT a Nirvana song, they did NOT perform as Nirvana, and Krist, Dave, and Pat all say the same thing – “not a Nirvana reunion, just jamming with Paul to make a Sound City Movie Soundtrack collaboration”

Yeah i didint like how it was hyped as a “nirvana reunion”. Maybe if they played a nirvana song WITH McCartney even, that might have made it better….but i just saw it as the guys from nirvana and mccartney doing a song. its not nirvana. at all.
