Eddie Vedder is probably the greatest rockstar of our time. Arguably. But that doesn’t mean everybody has to like him. When you hit rock bottom, sometimes public forums are a good way to channel your emotions. They can be a very therapeutic, and helpful way to release some negative energy.
Irons caught my attention when I repeatedly saw his name under EVERY Eddie Vedder article. I thought to myself, “this person is just having some fun trolling the web and trying to stir up controversy.” what a great way to do it! Come to a meaningless, fun site that provides little updated tidbits about your favorite musicians. Then, find the most popular artist, that MANY people feel very strongly about, and attack! It’s a brilliant plan! Heck, I popped onto this site with the same intentions. But reading comment after comment, of which just seemed unfunny and utterly annoying, I figured let me have a little fun with “Jack”… So I was up late just having a ball reading all the Ed articles along with Jack Irons pointless comments.
Then I start seeing infantile, defensive comments directed towards anyone that would take a shot back at “Jack” in an effort to defend their favorite artist. Jack, you’re not even trolling right!
I started to feel badly, I popped on tonight, just too see if this person’s existence was as sad as it seems, and I was right. This poor lonely man/woman left yet another comment. A babyish, poor attempt at humor and sarcasm.
So, please people, leave this person be.
I mean, a few articles ago, he/she took the time to list every time Pearl Jam played even 1 chord of a Soundgarden song. At what point do you guys have to understand that something is not right.
If taking shots at Ed allow Jack to sleep at night, let it go. It’s no big deal.
