BILLY CORGAN DISCUSSES THE WORST CHRISTMAS GIFT HE’S EVER RECEIVED

By: 17 December 2012 18 Comments

In a recent discussion with FUSE Billy Corgan was asked about the worst Christmas gift he’s ever received. He said the following:

“When we were little, I got it in my head that my brother and I were going to exchange Christmas presents, even though he wasn’t interested. I was seven and he was five. I let him know, “I’m going to buy you a Christmas present,” which of course meant he was going to buy me one. So I bought him a 7″ of the Monkees’ theme song. I wanted the record, so I bought it for him knowing I’d get to play it. He bought me one of those trolls where you take a pencil [rubs hands together] and the guy’s hair [sprouts up]. That’s what he got me. I was very upset. I refused to accept this present and I kept the Monkees record for myself.”

So he’s been petty and selfish since he was seven years old? Good to know.
(*looks at gish tattoo and sighs).

    Nice hat.

^Christing STFU already. No one cares about your stupid tattoo, so you don’t have to tell us about it every time you feel the need to bash BC. How many times are you going to post the same f’n thing?

I’ve never heard Robert Plant tell a story like this.

Christine should be banned from the site, she is really, really annoying it’s just crazy. I hate the people who play the victim. Even more so when it’s that repetitive.

    Pooooooooor little girl.

  • Patrick said:

oh billy, why do you tell stories that make you look even worse.

  • Is he one? said:

Oh come on like it’s not common for a child to act that way with his things.

  • M said:

Billy still acts that way with things. Even the way he talks about it, it’s like he’s not even aware of how selfish he sounds. Great artist and all, but he’s still a very selfish person. Unfortunately there are a lot of great artists that are also selfish bastards. Billy fits in nicely.

even some of the rock-stars are pathetic as fuck

why do people still insist on interviewing him?

  • lilrockable said:

^^ because he does interesting interviews. He always has something totally about, whether you think that is a good or a bad quality is up to you but the man is far from boring

  • BlownUpWorld said:

    Boring?
    No.
    Completely annoying whiney douchebag?
    Affirmative.

  • Spoonman said:

didnt say he was boring, just dont know why people care what he has to say. there is so much about billy i dont like and it all begins with his music. fun fact about spoonman here, never once heard a SP i enjoyed. seriously and i wanted to like them at first. not only that but i mean he is the worst embodiment of a rockstar. makes rockstars look bad

  • SuperSG said:

I like Cherub Rock and dats all.

Spoonman you care about what he says enough to click on these articles and take the time to comment. If you didn’t care about what he had to say, you obviously wouldn’t waste your time badmouthing the guy. It’s hilarious that the haters even find a way to bash BC even when he just shares a funny story from when he was 7 years old. Get a life, losers.

  • Spoonman said:

cant even get myself to like cherub rock. any recommendations 10?

  • SuperSG said:

    Disarm is good too.
