GARBAGE TO RECORD NEW MUSIC EARLY NEXT YEAR
In a recent discussion with Rolling Stone the members of Garbage talk about their plans to release new material in 2013. Here are some excerpts:
“The momentum has already begun. We’re gonna do some recording in January, early February,” – Butch Vig
“The energy is infectious. We think because we don’t take it for granted anymore, we’re playing possibly as good as we’ve ever played.” – Duke Erickson
“The good thing now is we don’t even need to think in terms of an album, so we’re just thinking in terms of new music, which actually really works in our favor. Historically, we’ve worked slow because we’ve toured so much – we go and spend a year making a record, then we go back out on the road. Now we realize we can do two or three tracks, release these tracks and then go on the road.” – Shirley Manson
“It’s taken us 18 years to finally get out shit together” – Butch Vig.
Garbage plans on a new tour starting in Australia at the end of February.

I’m glad this is turning into a legitimate reunion, as I’ve always enjoyed Garbage’s music. They seem to be enjoying themselves more now than 15+ years ago when they achieved commercial success.
Really like Not Your Kind of People. Doesn’t touch their first two records but I’m glad they are still recording new music. I really wish they would release this clip as a song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmTUsHDu7tE. Now that is classic debut album Garbage.
