Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello responded to a fan question on Twitter regarding Rage Against The Machine recording new material. A fan said, “We need some new RATM music.” Morello responded, “If it was up to me we’d make 2 new records a year.” Morello elaborated, “If you really want new groundbreaking earth rocking political music that shapes hearts & minds & kicks ass FORM A BAND, don’t wait for RATM.” Rage Against Machine have been largely inactive in the last 2 years. The last time the band performed live was on July 30, 2011 at the LA Rising festival.

Now young people take “How I could just kill a man” and instead of making music. They follow through. Nice influence Tommy.

My head explodes everytime i imagine Ratm and Tool touring together. If they did a tour now, with all of their material, not just from when they first started, ppl would have aneurysms.

I think a new RATM all depends on Zach De La Rocha. Ever since Audioslave’s demise, I’m sure the other guys have that itch. Tom has it pretty good because he can continue his solo stuff.

I liked Zach’s other band One Day As a Lion, I thought Wild International was a great song. I can forsee a new RATM in the next few years.
