That’d be a neat trick, considering Johnny Cash is dead.

i got a question……
so the audio here sounds amazing, why do they insist on putting so much “echo” on chris’ mic during the big shows? saw them in fairfax last year, and dont get me wrong, it was freaking amazing, but after every verse there is this echo on his vocals, i mean the son of a bitch can sing his face off, why do they need the effect on the mic?

@JON i’m thinking it might have to do with the venue they’re playing in. i totally agree with you, the vocals here sound amazing especially without chris’s echo. but maybe in larger arenas it doesn’t sound as good. it’ll be interesting to see what they do with the echo on this next tour since they’re playing mostly smaller venues.

yeah that would make sense. i guess in a big venue, they are kinda gearing it to making it enjoyable to the mass crowd. i was pretty close to the stage, so maybe i was getting the brunt of it. but its almost comical, because its so delayed, it fills in parts of the songs that dont have any lyrics. we will see…..going to dc on the 18th!!! he could sing into a wet chipmonk and i would still be there bangin the shit outa my head!
mood for trouble please!!!!!

Who said Johnny Cash is dead???? didnt some actor named Phoenix play a young Johnny Cash in some biopic movie about the famous singer? He could play some Soundgarden Rusty Cage with that voice or wait about this??
Since Social Distortion covered Johnny Cash Ring Of Fire, how about Social Distortion also cover Rusty Cage by Soundgarden?? I sure wish Brett or whoevers in charge of this grunge site would create a seperate PUNK ROCK news site also
I WISH JOHNNY CASH COULD COVER BEEN AWAY TOO LONG
or SOUNDGARDEN cover RING OF FIRE
just like SOCIAL DISTORTION’s cover
