RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS BACK ANTI-WHALING GROUP SEA SHEPHERD AT BIG DAY OUT GIG

By: 15 January 2013 3 Comments

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be showing support to conservationist group Sea Shepherd at the band’s headlining gig at Big Day Out this Friday. The band will apparently incorporate digital visuals from Sea Shepherd into the backdrop during its performance.

The Peppers have been backing Sea Shepherd for some time now. In May 2012, Anthony Kiedis made a plea to German authorities to stop the extradition of Sea Shepherd Captain Paul Watson to Costa Rica. Source

Awesome. I’ve always been pretty lukewarm on this band but between their backing of OFF! and now Sea Shepherd, which does great work, they seem like pretty good dudes.
