NEW EDDIE VEDDER AND GLEN HANSARD COLLABORATION SET FOR RELEASE LATER THIS YEAR
Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and Glen Hansard recorded a few new songs together last year that they will polish and release later this year. Hansard has been opening for Vedder since 2011 and the two have become good friends. Hansard told Time Out Sydney that he first started talking to Vedder after a fan committed suicide at one of his shows. Vedder had also dealt with deaths at a Pearl Jam show in 2000 so he called Hansard to help him deal with it, “But Eddie was tryin’ to help me through something that I didn’t understand how to deal with. I was so struck by the amount of heart he showed, he was so willing to hear me out.”

Hansard is a fucking awesome singer and songwriter. It’s a shame more people don’t know of him and The Frames.
I saw Vedder and Hansard in birmingham last year and they were incredible together ! I cant wait to hear what they have done as it is bound to be gold !!

Hope Ed get’s his touchy feely emotions out with Glen and is able to channel some more rock into the new PJ album. No more just breaths for PJ, I’d rather he save that for his solo work.

Jack you gotta chill out mate ! I understand how you feel as i feel the same way about that king of cocks scott weiland but there is bound to be a anti- vedder site you could go to vent your frustrations ! I agree with mitch as i love eddies solo stuff but would fucking love the next PJ album to be more intense but thats a hard thing to do as when life gets a liitle easier and we all get a little older our drives and passions change and that leads to a softer approach to the music ! They will always write amazing songs but i feel that we are all hoping for a new ten or vs but thats never gonna happen , they are not the same people they were when those albums were written and its not fair for us to expect that of them , We will always get exceptional music from them no matter what and for that i will always be gratefull to them for that !

Everything they have done the last half dozen years is a joke! From the Oracle corporate show to the Paid in America gig to the FAKE Amstderdam trip to a “fan” who is a good friend of the band and the list goes on and on. They’re a joke in every way, not just the horrible singing and blown songs nightly. Hollywood Ed thinks is a big joke and just laughs it off. He doesn’t relize people pay their hard earned money to travel and see him half ass it??
