I was there. Gun and 4th of July were the highlights. They aren’t even my favorite songs by them, but they were awesome!

this seems pretty standard for what they’ve been doing for awhile now. I thought they might bust out different songs each night, half and dusty were teases i guess.
Nothing at all wrong with this set list tho

Also was at the show. “Jesus Christ Pose” was the highlight imo

I’ll be seeing SG on the 29th & 30th this month. While listening to King Animal yesterday, I tried thinking about what songs from the album I wanted to hear live. Yikes! I could think of only one or two I actually want to hear. This is odd for me, as I usually only want to hear new songs at concerts. I’m hoping the songs sound better live, but I just don’t think they’re that good. I’ve been a huge SG fan and have supported them for a long time, but I just can’t get into the new stuff no matter how hard I try.

Another pretty good setlist. I’m happy to see that 4th of July and Blood on the Valley Floor were played, but I thought that Rowing was an awesome way to precede the encore. I hope that shows up again at the Minneapolis show.

I was also hoping to see a couple more “deep cuts” at their second show, kinda disappointed there

Oh yeah, Cornell said there’d be “old, obscure” songs on this tour. Still waiting for those…

Rowing and Fresh Tendrils were on the setlist but were cut due to time constraints. For what it’s worth I do think the King Animal songs sound much better live. A Thousand Days Before is one of my least favorite songs on King Animal but I really enjoyed it live. Personally, I thought the older songs (Badmotorfinger and before) sounded the best. Gun, Jesus Christ Pose, Hunted Down, Drawing Flies, Slaves & Bulldozers, etc had a lot of energy and really packed a punch. A lot of the Superunknown songs I thought came across kind of sloppy. My Wave in particular just did not hit at all, which was kind of disappointing since those were the ones I was looking forward to the most. Overall I thought it was a good show. Chris’ voice to me has been hit and miss on some of the bootlegs I’ve seen but for the most part he sounded great. Kim had some technical problems but was good as always. Matt and Ben driving the rhythm were the best part for me.

Blood on the valley floor is not a good live song to me. Chris needs to sing that one with anger. I can’t sing. At all. So I’m not gonna say I could do a better job than Chris Cornell, but I think Blood on the Valley floor is a boring live sing from what I’ve seen

    Only 7 KA songs. :(

I would be happy with the band playing the entire KA album, then doing an extended encore of the old stuff.

Fresh Tendrils is old and obscure. Dusty is as well, arguably. Be patient.

It was an awesome show. Already can’t wait for the next album. Only downside was I’d like to have heard more DOTU tracks, pretty underrepresented but can’t complain as they played their asses off for 2 1/2 hours

was a great show. especially liked seeing the young faces. at least some kids know what good music is. There were 2 in the front that were jamming to all of the songs. i think they got a pick and drumsticks and a sweatband. Just think of all of the great music that they will discover……SG, PJ, Nirvana, RHCP, STP, SP, Tool, RATM, AIC, etc….
Otherwise, this generation has crap on the radio to grow up on.

Pennsylvania setlist looks a lot better than the hitlist DC got. Other than the obvious reasons (pleasing the DC high profile clientele) I can’t see why they went that route.

And some moron over at setlist.fm keeps changing the setlist to show Fresh Tendrils in the encore. Stupid dumbass Kate Bush fan.

If you like Kate Bush, Tori Amos, or Shirley Hanson you need to be deported to the Hague in Scheveningen, Netherlands.
