DAVE GROHL’S “SOUND CITY” PREMIERES AT SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

Dave Grohl’s new “Sound City” documentary premiered last night at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. The film was well received, as Krist Novoselic tweeted after the performance: “Congrats to Dave on the world premiere of Sound City. Standing ovation at Sundance.” In attendance at the premiere were Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, Rick Springfield, Stevie Nicks, members of the Foo Fighters, and more.

Following the film’s debut at Sundance, the Sound City Players made an appearance at Park City Live to perform a three-hour long set, exploring the music of Masters of Reality, Queens of the Stone Age, Cheap Trick, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fleetwood Mac, and more.

never seen Dave play bass before. he kicks it!
He played bass during the Meat Puppet songs on Nirvana’s Unplugged performance.
He also played bass in Nirvana’s cover of seasons in the sun.
I haven’t watched Nirvana’s Unplugged in years. I guess I’ll have to go back and take a look!
Dave Grohl is an amazing multi-instrumentalist. Don’t forget he played all instruments on most of the first Foo Fighters record.
He plays EVERY instrument on the first album.
