SOUNDGARDEN FRONTMAN CHRIS CORNELL TO INDUCT HEART INTO ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME
Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will induct Heart into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The 28th Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in LA on April 18th, and air on HBO on May 18th. The ceremony will honor this year’s inductees: Heart, Albert King, Randy Newman, Public Enemy, Rush and Donna Summer; as well as Lou Adler and Quincy Jones, recipients of the Ahmet Ertegun Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Cool story, I’d love it if Soundgarden got inducted by Eddie Vedder!
Don’t the qualify next year?
WHY CAN’T THIS HAPPEN IN CLEVELAND WHERE THE ROCK HALL IS?????
It should be Jerry Cantrell, not Chris.
Layne Staley would have been a perfect choice to induct Heart in the Hall of Fame…but he is dead.
It should be Jerry Cantrell, not Chris. [2]
Yeah, it should have been Cantrell.
I’ll just keep this going…
It should be Jerry Cantrell, not Chris.
But glad Chris will be there and I applaud Heart & Rush.
I’s about time.
Peace
Ditto! It should be Jerry Cantrell.
I hoped he would induct Rush. Why should it have been Jerry Cantrell?
Cornell is close with Heart just like Cantrell is. Makes sense
cornell is gay!
Why not both?

is it possible to get tickets to this?
Cornell is from Seattle…Cantrell isn’t plan and simple! Oh and he’s known them longer too.
Yeah, Jerry Cantrell and Chris Cornell together inducting Heart would be cool.
I’ll bet the Wilson sisters will be delighted to be inducted by Chris. The dude is getting around.
This is awesome, Cornell and the AIC crew always had a ton of respect for Heart, and vice versa
I bet Cornell is thrilled to induct Heart into the Hall of Fame. The mutual respect between these talented artists is evident. I would love to hear Chris and Ann do a duet! Two very strong voices!
I guess no one has heard Cornell and Heart’s collaboration for the Stone’s “Wild Horses” cover? He, Ann, and Nancy have a lot of history together.
They should do Wild horses again.

Yeah I know, RIGHT?!!!.
I mean — seeing as how Jerry was born and raised in fucking Tacoma and all — and he’s known the Wilson sisters since IDK possibly 1990? Oh – and let’s not forget that in numerous interviews Jerry listed Heart as one of his biggest musical influences right along with The Beatles, Elton John, and Jimi Hendrix. Besides — since Ann sang back up vocals on SAP, and Jerry shared the stage with Heart upon THEIR invitation at the 2nd annual VH1 Rock Honors… Yeah I see your point. Jer would be a TERRIBLE choice.
:::shakes head, rolls eyes:::
Yeah, Jerry Cantrell and Chris Cornell together inducting Heart would be cool.
I agree with you both SuperSG & ScottM.
@ Spoonman — I want pictures if you get to go you lucky LA resident.
Jerry is from Tacoma. Close enough.
Ed…that is one of my favorites!!! Great call… And AIC did help induct Heart into Hollywood Walk of Fame last year…
That is so Awsome!!!!!!!!
