INJURY TO TOOL MEMBER PUSHES BACK WORK ON NEW ALBUM BY OVER A WEEK
From the new Tool newsletter:
The New Year started off on a bad note as far as writing and arranging sessions for Tool’s next record. For the most part this was due to a ‘minor’ accident on a Vespa scooter (slick road conditions being the cause) by a certain band member that resulted in several broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder. Because of the physical nature of the musical instrument involved, 9 DAYS of jamming were lost, although I’m happy to report that the person involved is recovering nicely, so much so, in fact, that writing sessions resumed last Monday (January 21), despite it being a holiday for many.
Coincidently (?), a few days prior to the mishap on the scooter, another person involved with Tool also wound up in the hospital after crashing his Vespa in Hollywood. Although he suffered a head injury (as well as multiple cuts and bruises to his body), I’m quite certain that if you were to order an “Entaphiosis” Hoddie, you would receive an “Entaphiosis” Hoodie.

@Author will you please stop posting other people’s sh!t and just start making your own sh!t up…
Thank you. Every report about Tool is more than welcome.
Just makes me thing – if they made such a deal about 9 days, maybe they’re closer to finish than we all thought? I personally gave them till 2014′s Christmas, cause, you know. It’s Tool. Maybe I was wrong.
Why so criptic about who was injured ?
Why so criptic about who was injured ?
Sounds like they need to stick to making music and stop riding scooters.
@mandingo Obviously you’ve never read a TOOL newsletter. They are always that cryptic and can sometimes be difficult to read.
They could have said nothing. Do you think anyone would have really noticed if the album was pushed back at all?
I love them though, and while Id love a more timely output of music, Im always greatful for what I get. They really dont owe me anything, so it’s a great gift when I can buy a Tool album. (and then go to a concert!)

They’re JUST now starting to write the new album? We’re likely to get tenth and twentieth anniversary editions of Aenima and 10KD before we see this record…
