I disagree, he couldn’t make Gutter Twins sound cool.

I went to see them live too. big disappointment.

This is coming from a HUGE Lanegan fan too.

The Gutter Twins record was prime. Can’t understand how someone can be a huge Lanegan fan and not get into it. Oh well..

This Garwood collab is going to be tits!

Hey, that’s cool if you dig it, it just isn’t my thing. I got Saturnalia the day it came out, gave it several listens & saw them at the Paradise in Boston maybe 4 or 6 weeks later. I just couldn’t get into the music & remember being disappointed.

Maybe I’ll give it another try down the road. I will check out their next album if they do one, I’m always willing to check out Lanegans new stuff.

I felt the same way about it initially. I was majorly disappointed. But I waited it out and kept listening, and soon enough, I couldn’t stop listening. It really sorts itself out once it sinks in. There are some absolute burners on that record.

God’s Children, Front Street, The Body, Idle Hands, All Misery/Flowers…all fantastic.

I DON´T KNOW WHY CAN LANEGAN AND CORNELL DO A COLLABORATION TOGETHER I MEAN THEY HAVE ALAIN JOHANNES AS A MUTUAL FRIEND. AND BESIDES ALAIN HAS BEEN SPENDING CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME WITH THE BOTH OF THEM. IT´D BE GREAT IF HE SOMEHOW PUT THE TWO DUDES IN THE SAME ROOM.

    +1 !!!

The Gutter Twins were just okay in my opinion, many solid songs on Saturnalia but overall not a memorable album. Mark Lanegan’s vocals on Saturnalia saved the album from being mediocre.

I like the Gutter Twins record but its not what I thought a collaboration between the two of them would sound like, it doesn’t sound like anything either of them have done before. I was expecting more like the Twilight Singers “Number Nine” or “Live With Me” that Mark was on but I like what Saturnalia ended up being too.

I’m looking forward to this new release though I haven’t heard Duke Garwood’s stuff. Anything with Mark has got to be pretty good.

The Gutter Twins are the tits. Greg Dulli is the best musician of the 90′s and of today. Lanegan is obviously up there as well. Saturnalia and Adorata are both brilliant.

I’m dreading this. Garwood was appalling the occasions I saw him support Lanegan. His set was one, long, monotonous , out of tune droning. Awful stuff.

I would give my left nad to see this. Love them both and all we have of them together is Chris singing backup on a few songs on the Trees Uncle Anesthesia LP
