CHRIS CORNELL SAYS SOUNDGARDEN’S CHEMISTRY IS LIKE ‘FIRST LOVE-SYNDROME’

By: 4 February 2013 12 Comments

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell discussed Soundgarden’s chemistry in a new interview with JSOnline, “But every experience musically I had outside Soundgarden, I felt somewhat vulnerable. Soundgarden really was it. It was the first time I was in with a group of people where there was that strange thing you refer to as chemistry.”

Cornell added, “You can’t define it, but it’s there. . . . It’s almost like the first-love syndrome. We went through so much as a band as Soundgarden, I could never think of anything the same way.”

Hear that Tom, Brad and Tim? Ouch.

How is that a knock on Tim/Tom/Brad? They were quite clearly a “supergroup” and I’m pretty sure they’d say the same thing.

It is kind of a knock whatever you say.

Yeah but you’re neglecting the fact that Tim/Tom/Brad likely feel the same about Zach and Rage Against The Machine. That shouldn’t surprise you dude… So… so what ultimately?

Audioslave was the only thing that kept me remotely interested in Cornell during SG’s 17-year absence. His wretched solo albums sure as hell didn’t.

Euphoria Morning is absolutely amazing. If you don’t like Carry On and Scream I can totally understand though
