SCOTT WEILAND ADDS THREE SHOWS TO THE PURPLE AT THE CORE TOUR

By: 12 February 2013 4 Comments

Scott Weiland has added three new dates to his ‘The Purple At The Core’ tour. Weiland will play the hits from the Stone Temple Pilots albums Core and Purple at the show according to his guitarist Doug Grean, despite local advertisements for many shows stating that he will play Core and Purple from front to back. All Stone Temple Pilots shows from late 2010-2012 were essentially Core/Purple greatest hits shows as well. Weiland was reportedly fired from Stone Temple Pilots late last year.

March 7, 2013- Boston, MA- Wilbur Theatre
March 12, 2013- New Brunswick, NJ- State Theatre
March 14, 2013- Bethlehem, PA- Sands Bethlehem Event Center

How low does Weiland have to go for this site to stop covering him? Is there still some false hope that he’ll try to do something relevant? I respect bands I don’t like if they continue to make and play new music, but this hasn’t been the case with STP/Weiland for quite a few years now. How long can a guy milk the past? Sadly, this guy is nothing more than a big joke.
