MAGIC MIKE MAZZARONE’S BIRTHDAY POEM TO BILLY CORGAN

By: 17 March 2013 40 Comments

Roses are red, violets are blue
When I’m feeling alone, I listen to you
You may be a rat in a cage
But when I see you I’m amazed
You don’t like Chris Cornell
When I hear him life is hell
You are very very tall
Without you my heart would be small
You really like the Cubs and wrestling
I’d really like some salad dressing
I’ll always love you more
Cause you’re the one that I adore
I’m hungry for Special K

Thanks for completely eradicating any professionalism and seriousness from this site.

    You’re welcome

I have tears in my eyes

Also I don’t know what eradicating means, so it’s hard for me to be offended.

Not bad for having a 4th grade vocab.

You are very very tall Mr. Corgan, I want to be a firefighter one day when I’m big and strong like you

  • MJ said:

Yeah, I’m going to have to second Paul Kneitz comment. This is a pretty lame and unnecessary post…

  • Huh? said:

Way to destroy your own website, morons.

  • tmekt said:

    Bah, bullshit

RE: Paul Kneitz–I give this site a pass for stuff like this, as this site is more like a fanzine than something like Rolling Stone.

  • Andrei said:

    Fuck Rolling Stone.

  • Andrei said:

And fuck anyone who wants this site to be something like Rolling Stone.

Professional reporting at it’s finest. Great job Mike. Now kill yourself

  • Sabres said:

Good poem Mike. Don’t know why anyone would dislike it. It appears nobody has any sort of humor or see this as a genuine poem as did I.

  • Justin said:

Sabres it’s not humor it’s stupidity

  • Jessie said:

    @Brooks
That’s really more of a Haiku but still a nice job.

  • Alternadude said:

Maybe stop for your own good Mike? Personnally I don’t mind but I’ve seen people crack down for less than that so I am a bit worried about you. And I am serious.

  • MJ said:

    @Jessie: A haiku is still a poem…

  • Jessie said:

    @MJ
Yes, but I was just being facetious.

I actually think you are all being overdramatic. I don’t really like this guy’s sense of humour but at least it adds a sense of fun to this site. There is no reason to be completely serious all the time.

  • SuperSG said:

Everyone needs to chill the fuck out. The guys are trying to have a little fun! What is so fucking bad about that?! Quit saying how the goofiest writer on GR/ALTN is eradicating the sites credibility by being humorous! IT’S A JOKE!!! If you ran a website, wouldn’t you do something funny given the power to do so? You would! So STFU

  • SuperSG said:

    So much hatred..,

I gave up on serious stuff on here a long time ago. As long as I don’t have any expectations I won’t be disappointed. Yesterday, I gave a real compliment and was told not to be sarcastic, so, there you go… being real and getting real info on this site is not what it’s about.

  • Spoonman said:

im just surprised people actually like smashing pumpkins. i honestly cant find one song of theirs i can stand. seriously

  • Zach said:

That was 1000x better Fagic Mike’s poem.

  • Big M said:

this is all so hilarious thank you everyone

  • Raj said:

    Billy is bald and fat
sometimes I think he is a rat
    He’s cranky and whiny
but his dome is clean and shiny

Billy will Disarm you like a child
and Today his Cherub Rock glows wild
His favourite wrestler has tattoo of a Bullet With Butterfly Wings
and Tonight Tonight in falsetto crack Billy sings

Billy went from hero to Zero in his Rocket
a picture of Ava Adore he wears as a locket

  • Spoonman said:

can anyone point out a corgan song that i might actually enjoy? gotta say i cant find one that doesnt suck

I’m a big Pumpkins fan, but Corgan’s voice can be an acquired taste. You either like it or you don’t, kind of like Rush. There’s too many Pumpkins songs I love to even list (same goes for most of the bands covered on here). I’d really recommend to listen to Siamese Dream front to back, that’s the best Pumpkins album that has a real diverse mix of songs and probably Corgan’s best vocals. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is also great of course. His lyrics on that especially are just amazing. I mean Tonight, Tonight and Muzzle especially. Porcelina of the Vast Oceans is epic.

Rhinocerous is also a great one from Gish that I think would appeal to Grunge fans.

  • sean said:

Why are there five articles on Billy Corgan birthday, but no articles about Alain Johannes releasing a video for his song on the Sound City soundtrack?
