Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell attended the Golden Globe Awards last night in Los Angeles with his wife Vicky. Cornell’s “The Keeper” from Machine Gun Preacher was up for Best Song in a Motion Picture, but he lost to Madonna.

Madonna won and It’s no suprise since they want the big stars to win. She was cracking jokes about Ricky Gervais being a girl. The Keeper was better at capturing the feel of the movie. Madonna’s song was her typical pop bore.
Just being nominated is probably satisfying to Cornell.
Chris Cornell should have won that award as he wrote it it and performed it. Although he might be content and just probably happy to be nominated. I think it is bull. It is all political. Chris according to me you won. Noone has the vocals u do. I thinkyou are competing against someone who gets more publicity than u. Keep going Chris we believe in u and love you. All your fans do.

The Golden Globes suck major ass. Not quite as major as the Oscars, but pretty major.
The big stars always win. It does look like a happy couple indeed.
Its the most corrupt awards show around. Its well known how the members of the “foreign press” are bought off and bribed by the studios, so their artist gets a nomination or even the win. The show is a farce and has no integrity. Chris should be proud of the nominee but lose no sleep over not winning.
This is true, everything that you’re saying. But I find it interesting that the artists still continue to show up for these events. Surely they must place some sort of worth on them. One should never lose sleep over not winning a popularity contest anyway, I believe.

Vicky karayiannis is a mental case. What Chris Cornell gets out of being with her is a mystery.She controls his every move, spends his money like crazy and is hateful to everyone. She has managed to alienate so many of Chris’ old friends with her possesiveness. She isn’t very easy on the eyes either. I am suprised Chris is still with her.
Yea, If you go to Cornell’s official web sight, there are a million pics of him with his fugly hag, new wife Vicky karayiannis and their two children. Yet there is not one pic of his first born child LillyJean, which he had with his first wife Susan Silver. I find this so strange.

You know what I find intriguing and a bit sad. it seems Chris Cornell feels he has to be with a woman who will tell him how to be, act, behave, in essence, what to do. For instance Susan Silver was his manager-wife from a very early age. They split and seconds later he is with another controlling type of woman,(Vicky)now she manages everything in his life. He is quoted as actually saying “I have to clear EVERYTHING with Vicky”.It is as if he needs to be taken care of like a child by these women. I wonder when he will become a man and be the dominant one in a relationship? Mabey it would be good for him to be with a woman he could help or take care of. I am not hating, just observing.
