WHAT SHAME, THEY MADE SUCH GREAT MUSIC…
they were great musicians….
Just added Kristen Pfaff.
What a waste of talent. Cobain, Staley, Saunders. I’m not familiar with the others. I wish I had a tenth the talent they had. It is so sad that these poor people let the evil hooks of drugs get imbeded into their lives. I wish “Musicians Against Drugs†would evolve. Enough is enough, deaths by drugs/alcohol. These drug deaths are needless. I think everyone could reluctantly, terrible as it may sound, accept a vehicle wreck, plane crash, and even sickos doing the unthinkable as in the case of John Lennon and “Dimegag†but with the drugs/alcohol they’re . . . cheating themselves and (maybe selfish of me, oh well!), cheating us, the Fans who admire their talents and support them!
It really is sickening to see the lists of deceased musicians/singers due to drugs/alcohol.
good musicians !
It is sad, I remember being in HS when Cobain died, that was a bad day. Hoon was a blow too. That was, I guess one of those ones you could see coming. I didn’t follow them much, a cool sound, but it always seemed he was kinda off the rails. Lane was sad mostly because of how far he’d fallen and just what a complete mess he was at the end. What I’m thankful for is the guys who have gotten clean or turned their life around. Scott Weiland I’m sure was pretty close to ending up on this list on more than one occasion.
I don’t know how the last three on this list passed, but the first four had stemmed directly (or indirectly)from heroin, atleast I think so…
So sad to see people who meant so much to so many throw their lives away and leave the world a colder place. We need to end the myth about drugs and rock and roll, let’s face it,it kills more people than anything. At the end of the day,if you’re a creative genius that you will be great regardless of what you put into your body,if anything grunge and all these senseless deaths have proven the futility of drug abuse.I don’t think music has ever recovered,I hope it will.
kurt should still be alive.
Kristen Pfaff tenia una relacion con Kurt Cobain por eso la loca de COURTNEY LOVE LOS MANDO A MATO A MATAR ALOS 2 PIRMERO A KURT Y LUEGO A Kristen… Rip.
Please, remember also Mia Zapata, The Gits’ singer…
They all died of heroin directly or indirectly (Kurt) except for Shannon Hoon, who died of acute cocaine intoxication. Layne died from a speed ball (both) according to the medical examiner, but I think Layne’s poor body gave out on him more than anything. There are no old heroin addicts….
Like Joseph said, Mia Zapata should be added. She was a part of the grunge scene, shame that she was murdered.
It is a shame that they have all passed on. I believe though, that one of the main reasons why their music was so good was because of the drugs. And the lifestyles that came out of that.
LOL Kurt
I miss Mia Zapata too.
We will miss you kurt and Layne for a long time, even if t grunge is dead yall will always live on in our hearts… Two of the best musicians to ever live!!!
It seems that Alice in Chain’s song We Die Young could be like a hymn for these musicians.
¿STEFANIE SARGENT AND MIA ZAPATA?
4 of them were born in 67 o:
weird…
i wonder what they would be doing if they were alive…
Leave your response!
